I think you are mead not having a stopover to break the flight up with 5 kids. Bloody hell! 5 (FIVE) kids!! Do you not realise there is less decent tv in Aus?? It`ll be 10 kids before long.....

A belated thanks for all of the good wishes.
The flights went well - Singapore Airlines were great.
40kgs baggage allowance was fine (we managed 226kg between 7!) - we just needed to show our permanent residency visas to secure the 40kg allowance.
London->Singapore was about 1/3 full so we managed to grab two seats each which helped with sleeping.
Singapore->Perth was probably 80% full but short enough to be fine.
The most tedious bit was 4 1/2 hrs at Changi (Singapore). We're trying to avoid restaurants (Oz money saving mode) and shopping with 5 is too stressful. Having said this, Changi is a lovely airport with plenty of space for kids to 'exercise'.
Touch wood we've almost got the jet lag sorted too - we all managed to go to sleep at a reasonable hour last night and stay asleep.
