Hello, am in the process of applying for my 175 gsm, just waiting back on the skills assessment part. Am a pipe fitter by trade over 5 years experience working on various oil refinerys up and down the UK. If all goes well with the visa was thinking of moving to Perth as early as July/Aug 2012, was hoping there was some pipe fitters on here who could give me some advice on various companies to contact, and the various areas where companies are looking for pipe fitters. Was in Perth in 2009 on a WHV working for a good company specialised welding Australia, unfortunately the recession was just starting, and I was let go along with a number of people, afta that I really struggled to find work and was forced to come back to the UK. Any info,advice,websites,numbers, would be a great help, as i wana return and make another go of it but am a bit cautious incase history repeats itself, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks very much.

I am a pipefitter also wondered if you are still planning going to oz etc,im also going should have been a few years ago as have has my visa for 3 yrs now,was watching your post but not been much replies lets hope other pipies on here can give us some feedback,info etc as be interested to talk with other already over there working and living the oz dream
