When Anglo Pacific rang me to say they didn't come as far as South Wales to ship, the lady said just make sure you use a company with the Bar Overseas Bonded logo so you know you are protected.
Hope my sister gets her container now......Pickfords shipped it in December!!!

Oh Ive just checked the site and they are bonded with the Royal bank of scotland.
I wont write it all down but its all good and we are guaranteed financially.

used Britannia to move last year, they are Bonded and the guys were fantastic, they
were not the cheapest but nor the most expensive, everything came over fine and
one minor break - an old tea pot i had wanted to get rid of for years but my wife
insisted ion keeping so i was happy!

Stuck on the wharf somewhere - happened with a cheapo operator called Cargo forwarding a few years back - took people 3 years to get their stuff back in some cases.
I'd be very careful who I shipped with right now - only use a BAR Overseas bonded operator which is big in the Australian market. That cuts it down quite a pit. Leaving out ************** and PSS mentioned above I would say that probably leaves a choice of 3 or 4 - John mason, Robinson, Excess International and Intradene.
Oh and anyone using 7 Seas - note they are NOT bonded, at all, despite all the huffing and puffing they do - lost 4 boxes of mine 2 years ago and still no payout.

The BAR website will list your local members of the overseas group.

My son is in the process of moving to Australia. He is currently living in Cardiff. He called John Mason's on Monday and they said they are only in the South Wales area every 3-4 weeks. He has an appointment booked with one of their surveyors next Wednesday 20th Feb. Just a heads up in case you are ready to have a survey now rather than wait for another month.

Britannia Robbins are on site in Cardiff if you want to call them rather that try to Squeeze in with outher from further afield. My guys passed the name on as part of the Britannia Network.

I know what you mean Beth but see my post on page five and good luck. None of want to spend the money but if you get on with them and don't screw them down my bet is that you'll get looked after......
