Default Perthites, missing person help

Hi Guys, A long shot I know but do any of you in Perth know of a Dutch company called Vleat.

I have just taken a phone call from a guy in Holland, his son is in Au travelling and his parents have not heard from him for 10 weeks so are very very worried,

I am sending a mail to all the hostels in WA but on thought some of you might be able to help.

The last time they heard from him he was working in Perth for a company called VLEAT as a driver, aparently they are a bed or bedding import company.

An off chance I know but this poor bloke and his wife are very very worried about there son.

Cheers
Kala

Can't help you I'm afraid, but this might sound wierd. Polly took a phone call at work yesterday from a bloke in Columbia who was looking for his brother who was missing. She thought it may have been a windup, but just in case gave him the phone number of the Australian Federal Police. Heard on the radio today there is a Columbian national missing in Qld. :scared:

PS.....
Just had a thought, if it is a business it should be registered with the gov't. Contact your state department of fair trading. If they can't help, maybe they can suggest who to contact for details of the company.

PPS......

Have they contacted the Police via the Australian Embassy?

Checked on the ASIC website. There are no companies called VLEAT but 5 that contain the word VLIET. One is called VAN DER VLIET which sounds Dutch to me.

I really hope they find him soon.

Thanks for your help guys, I'l try them asic companies 2moro, hopefully they will know something.

Polly thats horible, it really was horible speaking to this guy earlier, he sounded so worried and as if he felt like he was putting me out, then he just kept thanking me and saying how much I was doing for him, I got the impression that he had spoken to other hostels and they hadn't really given a shite. some people

I'l keep you updated, I really hope he has just been a bit of a cack son and not noticed the last 10 weeks go by but that is the beginning of March, such a long time ago it does make you worry

Cheers
