Default Perth Fireworks

Here are some pics of the fireworks last night. Not great ones I'm afraid, but should give people some idea. I was on the South foreshore, great spot for viewing the show, but an awful place to get back from afterwards!

Enjoy.

This was a great part, they made a waterfall of fireworks on the narrows bridge then dropped all these glowing red fireworks. It looked stunning.

They let loads of fireworks off the city buildings, not a brilliant shot this one, but still cool all the same!

Brilliant. Wish I`d been there. Did you take a torch and do the shiny thing? Was it broadcast via 96FM? Was Phil Collins `In The Air Tonight` the opening song (just like all the other years)?

No torch I'm afraid. It was broadcast on Mix 94.5 for the music soundtrack, and the show started with the 'Still call Australia home' song (sure that's not the title of it, but it's used by Qantas on their planes) as the flag was flown over the city.

Then it just went through a ton of Australian hits(?) which I hardly recognised, except for Kylie!

Were you involved in the 1000 man brawl in South Perth?

Luckily not! It was going off a few hundred metres from where we were, well the first one was, we'd left by the time the second one kicked off.

Nasty business.

Saw the pyrotechnic fireworks on the TV - great. The other fireworks - not so great
