Perth or back to Townsville
#1
Hi all, I am after some advise from people who have lived in both , a quick summary of our situation
Both over 40 both live at the moment in the UK , we did lived in Townsville and still own a house there due to circumstances we had to move back to the UK but we are planning on moving back to Oz next year.
We always planned to move back to Townsville but we are now thinking Perth due to my husband being able to get a better paid job .. I have no idea on Perth and searching the internet is great but it's better from people who have actually experiencing the way of living there.
Thank you in advance for any advise , good suburbs etc

Perth is having a bit of a downturn at the moment so it may be a case of whether he can get a job at all, let alone a better paid one. Suck it and see! Apply for jobs in Perth and see what crops up and if he scores one then you have concrete options on the table.

Well I would prefer Townsville, especially if I already had a house there ... but you have to go with the work.

Perth is a city and Townsville is a town; if that helps.

Perth is a sprawling mass of suburbia. If that's your thing fine. Otherwise I'd go with Townsville, but virtue of owing a house there and not by choice.
As others have mentioned the Perth job market is in rather rapid decline. Make sure the job is a goer before deciding Perth as well.
