Re: Perth or Adelaide?
Actually, house prices & possibly too many Brits(?) putting me off Perth. Have just started to look at QLD also. God what a decision!

Were the same, can't decide between Mebourne or Adelaide and even considering Perth. My hubbies a nurse and I will have to pack in work to look after 3 young children. I think Perth will be too expensive for us. Adelaide sounds beautiful, but not sure if too quiet so I think Melbourne may be coming 1st up to now. May change next week though. Decisions, Decisions. Good luck..

adelaide, who is going to baby sit for you when you go out together? it's not a good thought really but just a thought, i am nurse too been in adelaide 10 years sydney 6 and uk 6, kids 17 and 15 doing well, and like it here !!!!!!!!
I take the kids with me when I go out :D It's one of the great things about Australia - child friendly pubs and not feeling like you've got to keep them tied to the chair. Of course if I'm going clubbing I leave them with my hubby ;):D |

Re: Perth or Adelaide?
I think Adelaide sounds fab and looks wonderful. OH likes the sound of QLD. We have friends there which would be good but Adelaide still sounds affordable and lots of people seem to think the education and health systems are better. Is this true, does anybody know? Which hospitals do you nurse in? I'm a theatre nurse and need a job!
|
Re: Perth or Adelaide?
Lou, don't think you would have any problems finding a theatre job. I am a community nurse & jobs not as easily available as in the hospitals. We are going to apply for PR once skill assessment is back from ANMC and if necessary I'll sign with an agency & find something permanent once we are there. At the moment deciding where to head for and getting there are the priorities!!!
Good luck to you & keep in touch! Sally |

I'd go to Adelaide due to the house prices. Apart from that I would head to Perth and buy the house next door to Amazulu.

Re: Perth or Adelaide?
Adelaide has lots to offer. It has a coast and hills to the north so there is a bit of something for everyone. We are planning to move their too. House prices are reasonable and the weather is not as hot as the gold coast. Hopefully i wont have a problem getting a job there as a nurse from a couple of agencies i have spoken too. Good luck whatever you decide x:thumbup:

Then there's the hills in the East, beautiful scenery from up there. The North can boast the Barossa Valley, which is stunning.

There's a bit of everything here. Coastal suburbs are mostly down South (there are some up North too but not as many, unless you want to live somewhere really quiet :D or have lots of money).
