Personal effects by air freight - how to clear?
We have only couple of hundred kilos to be sent to Adelaide so we opted for air freight as we are getting a very good rate. Much cheaper than the quote we got for sea freight.
I am now wondering how do we clear them from Adeliade airport / customs.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

When we did this in Brisbane the shippers sent it to a shipping agent in Brisbane who contacted us when the shipment arrived and was about to go through customs etc. Quarantine found something they didn't like so again the agent contacted us, we paid the bill for getting something irradiated then customs released the shipment to the agent, who delivered it to us. Keep a copy of your customs declaration because the one you send with the shipment can go missing and the agent will want another copy.
