Perminent visa help ?
Hi guys.
Planning on moving over ( hopefully) my partner has a perminent visa and will be moving over soon. I can't go defacto as we havnt been living together
Spoke to Telstra in Australia about work as I currently work as a tellecomunications field technician in england ,but they not accept certain visas , working holiday isn't one of them
Think the only option I have is to apply for a skilled migration visa I think ? But how does this work ? Do I have to be assessed ? I'd prefer to get straight into a job I'm going to stick to . Struggling on how I'm going to get some sort of perminent visa
P.s partner is transferring to the Western Australia police if wondering how they managed to get a perminent visa
I also hear something about Being sponsored , don't really understand what this is ? Not sure Telstra would do that
Fail this I suppose I would have to apply for working holiday and just take any job until I have been living with my partner for a year

OR
Look at http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ especially the 189 which would get you PR in your own right. You can even come over on a WHV while you wait for the independent skills visa - 189 - to be granted.
