Default Permanent Residents returning to Australia

Hi,

We currently have Permanent Resident visas and are returning to Australia next week having been out of the country since April 2009. Can anybody tell me if our Medicare cards and Centrelink details still apply or do we need to re-register. Many thanks.

Dor

Have your Medicare cards expired?

And what is meant by "Centrelink details"?

Our medicare cards have not expired. When I say Centrelink "details" I meant do we have to go back to Centrelink and register with them again. Sorry, "details" doesn't make much sense when I read it back. I should have phrased my question differently. Thanks for your reply.

I've never been to, or ever contacted Centrelink and have had no issues. So no, you don't have to register with them again.

We are assuming Medicare will just "continue" and as for centrelink I will be contacing them soon (well if I find out I need to ) as before when we lived there we didn't have kids.
