Default Elderly clogging hospitals: study

The grave dodgers are stopping real sick people getting a bed for the night , bloody place is getting more like the UK every day.

ELDERLY patients who could be discharged are clogging up the State's public hospitals because they have nowhere else to go, according to a new study.

The study, discussed at yesterday's meeting of health ministers, found that about 50 per cent of elderly patients stayed in public hospitals longer than they needed because there was no aged care accommodation available.
