Default Passport Returned at last!

I have finally got my new passport back from Aussie house with my replacement visa in it- phew!!

I have checked all of the numbers and they match up ( thanks for the tip Badge). My name has 3 extra nnn's in it though on my daughters visa ( I am the lead person) Do you think this will matter? I don't want to let these beauties out of my site again unless I have to !

By the way all you doubting Thomases the pilfering/ careless lady in question hasn't turned up since my passport was noted as missing. What does that tell you?

I can sleep in peace again now and at least I have a brand spanking new passport so I wont have to carry the old one around a it was due to expire in a year.

Thanks for listening.

What a relief Tina - one less thing to worry about. Are you doing the cleaning yourself these days...?!

No I haven't reported her as I don't know for sure. She could have thrown it away, which wouldn't surprise me either as she was pretty ruthless with rubbish.

Yes we are back to cleaning again. I am in charge of the toilets of course!! You may scoff but try working full time with 3 kids and a large 5 bed 3 bathroom house to clean on your own. Yes we are lucky to have the house and space, but it is hard work keeping it clean on your own. Especially when you are selling it.

The rota has been written. But it is not as vital that the house looks sparkling as the sale seems to be going through ok, so hopefully no more viewings.

I'd never scoff Tina - I grew up in 19th century vicarages with about 8 bedrooms, which we couldn't afford to heat (hence my need to move to the sun!) and we couldn't afford a cleaner. The last one we had, my mum got her friend to do some of the cleaning in return for some childminding - but she used to try and clean the place up before June came in, cos she thought a vicarage should always be tidy!
The thought of having to keep a big house clean and tidy, and available for viewing, just in case .......AARRGHH! I really have so much admiration for people like you who can manage it.
I just hope that if the passport did disappear for dodgy reasons, that whoever took it will get their comeuppance in the end.

See you soon,

Cleaning is that stuff you do when you've been renting a flat for 4 years and you suddenly realise that when you move and sell the furniture there are cobwebs...... and you want your deposit back, so you run down to Sainsbury's and empty their shelves of lots of cloths and squirty stuff marked "Cleans everything - Miracle Stuff"! And then you spend 2 days trying to get the cooker spotless......

when I was at college, I had some mates who couldn't get the cooker clean - so they painted it! Landlord was short sighted & they got away with it! Ordinary white emulsion!!! I feel so sorry for the next tenants when they turned it on!!!

Ahh

Will remember to clean before i put the house on the market.

Well off now for the evening, ITV news has just depressed me enough for the evening. My babies were stuffed once again.

Off to console myself with nice bottle of Oz white.

Night all

Lots of things I did before Expats .... sat here all alone in the evenings, drinking too much, going to bed late, not cleaning the place properly, letting the washing up mount up..... oh yes, I still do all that now - I just type in between times!
Now I must go and seal up another box.... bye bye videos, see you in Oz!
