Can anyone tell me if all children need there own passports when getting the visas stamped.

my friend as just sent her passports with the children included on hers to london this morning , when she retuned home from the post office and read the letter it said all applicants must have there own passport. As u can imagine she is now panicing . :scared: They have flights booked for 12th july, should she be canceling them

I would imagine the children will need their own passports. She can get a passport over the counter. My visa & passport was returned within 3 days, this seems to be the norm.

Have a look at http://www.ukpa.gov.uk/_3_urgent/3_contents.asp for details... and tell her to get moving

http://www.australia.org.uk/vti/FORMS/visa_evidence.pdf

Second paragraph under Obtaining Your Visa
"need to ensure each person granted a visa ...... has their own passport'

Doesnt give any exclusions for children that I can see.

If they do need there own passports , she will have to wait till london sends hers back before she can get the kids new ones .
and then send them off again.

Default Passport Office

We had a very quick turnaround in the UK - needing to get new passports for all the family. Phone the UK Passport Office and get an appointment ASAP, New Passports can be achieved in one day as long as you have all the details/information etc.

Don't Panic!

Cheers

Just do as suggested by Sandra & it might not hurt for her to give her case officer an email; see if they can tell her if her's will be evidenced anyway or not.

If you follow the link I gave you it gives you all the details about setting up an appointment
