I see 'medicines' - does that include standard prescription medicines such as asthma inhalers and headache pills?

Are they medicine?
The stuff that goes in the asthma inhalers probably are considered such. Headache pills are. |

I brought back six months supply of Omeprazole from the US and nobody batted an eyelid. S |
Re: Passenger Arrival Card - changes to food declaration!
It says restricted medicines, I doubt that medicines that can be purchased over the counter without prescription would be classed as restricted.

Re: Passenger Arrival Card - changes to food declaration!
Yeah the thing is one time my friend got questioned for not declaring her panadol - so to make it simpler i'd rather declare it mainly because it is covered by the Therapeutic Goods Act.

Re: Passenger Arrival Card - changes to food declaration!
In that case I am amazed that the queues are short for the something to declare lane (with the new rules of foodstuffs etc taken into account) as surely many people travel with some type of medicine in their possession? I recall seeing an earlier post saying 6 people in the declaration lane from 9 international flights, hard to imagine only 6 people had medicines with them (or any other restricted item).

Re: Passenger Arrival Card - changes to food declaration!
The first time i did bring panadol without declaring it nothing happened. If you're not lucky and get randomly checked, you have the yes tick mark as defence. The form says if unsure tick yes. I'm not sure so I tick yes. I think they will look upon you less suspiciously if you declare something.

Last time we flew in, we had a list of all the food and medicine items we were carrying, showed it when asked and didn't have to go through the x-ray queue. |

That line's not there any more though. They don't ask for details, just give you a tick box as shown in ABCs link.
