Hi NewOZ....

Probably depends on your budget. I have no idea of our budget yet, so have been looking at the really cheap areas. I have been looking at 25 suburbs within commuting distance of Paramatta based on opinions from my family. Happy to send you that list if you think it will help.

When are you going?

I live in Melbourne, so my answer may be a bit biased...

I visit our NSW offices in Lidcombe & Silverwater (near Olympic Park) about once a month. When I do, I generally stay in Parramatta.

Traffic is horrendous. Very industrial. Never seen so many used car lots in one place. About 40 minutes from the airport, on a good day.

I'd be tempted to live a bit further afield, Parra is not the Aussie dream by any stretch.

Whilst travelling i lived in manley for 3 months and worked in baulkham hills near parramata, i loved the sydney area but that area would definatly not be somwhere i would emigrate across the world to live, too busy, too industrial, too far from the beaches for my liking. There are better areas such as epping and other areas that are closer to the beaches and accesible to parramata if thats where you have work lined up.
I would say thats my opinion you may love it there! I spen 12 months driving all the way round oz and there are some magical places
