Paid Vacation Time for Sales Professionals
Hello everyone,
How much paid vacation time would you say that most sales professionals get when first starting out a position.
In the US people are usually given 2 weeks, in Canada 3 weeks.
Hoping to hear how much time people usually get in Australia and if employers are usually lenient on allowing their employees to take unpaid holidays.
Thanks!

Generally 20 days plus public holidays - but as mentioned normally you have to earn the time at so many days per month...before you can take it off.

I concur with the above posts being that 20 days is the usual here. Sales people are generally on salary here and not wages which means that most companies do not include leave loading on holidays for sales staff. Remember to check this when you look at the jobs on offer. Unpaid leave really comes down to the Sales Manager or his superior, but mostly they are pretty lenient in most places as long as you have proven your worth so to speak.
The common catch phrase i hear is "I don't care if you spend a few days under a tree asleep as long as you have completed what you were meant to have done for the week" of course this applies to external sales.
