I believe that the whole area of Pacific Pines used to be called Gaven. I think Pacific Pines likes to be reffered to as a 'Community'. I think of it more like a 'New Town' in 1960's in the U.K.......too big and diversified to be an Estate. Also when I think of Estates I tend to think of all the housing being built at roughly the same time as well as in the same style.
So I reckon it is a new Suburb...it is listed in the front of the refidex.....where as housing estates (do they even use that term here???) are not.
