Thank you Soapy. Just trying to get an idea. When we were over last year we had virtually decided on North Lakes, but now that we're not going on a sponsored visa, suppose my husband's job could be anywhere north or south of the city, so am just looking at other options.

As far as he knows there is only one other girl from the uk at the school.
Just drove right round Jacobs Ridge in Ormeau with him and saw 1 man cutting his grass, that was it.No kids anywhere!!!!

That sounds better than here, Got to drive my oldest out to winderoo for his school, which means there are no kids from his school around here.( well there probably is but we cant find them lol).
As far as he knows there is only one other girl from the uk at the school.

we are thinking about Pacific Pines too,
do you think it would be good for a girl age just 17, she would be going in to year 11 when we get there. we also have a boy, that will be 6.
we just would like to know she will have the opportunity to settle and that will take the pressure off a bit.

i know a lot of teens have settled a lot quicker in pac pines because they dont feel so strange with their accent. there must be more brit teens in this area than most on the coast. but it will really be up to her. if shes a good mixer then she wont have any problems.
