Congrats, we cut the turf on our pool end of January. Can't wait. We have got some crazy people coming to visit in June who will want to swim in it as June is really warm. Bloody pommes - just don't appreciate winter.

All the best,

Mike.

We have had quotes in the $20,000 range
If you don't mind sharing the info, then I too would be interested in the costs and who you used?

I would specifically be interested in how much you thought / were quoted it would cost and how much it actually cost when factoring in all equipment, landscaping etc...

Cheers
Dave

I just hope you've looked into how much maintenance it takes to keep a pool clean and safe for swimming

good luck

It ain't that bad, & IMO well worth it for the hours of fun the kids (and okay, yes, me as well!) get out of it in the summer

No work at all, Hubby does it

Seriously, don't worry guys a pool is not much work at all if you keep on top of it and make sure you check the chem and salt levels regularly. It's like anything, if you neglect it it's hard work.

For the hours of fun we have in it, the small amont of work that is required regularly is damn well worth it.

concrete pool with white quartzon finish, free solar heating fitted on roof.
used lazaway, wouldnt recommend them really,as their contractors didnt all turn up on time, which made it run 20 days longer.probably same as any other pool builders that also uses contractors for differant segments of the job.
but very please with end finish.
$20,000 quoted for 8mtr x 3.5mtr,1mtr beach area,bench at deep end,2x inlet pipes,1.2mdepth to 2mdepth.went up by $500 for dumping excess soil,
.
maintenance...well,its all part of being a pool owner.
concrete..pros-covered by compulsory 6.5yrs insurance(if builder goes down the pan, fault are are covered...cons-more expensive, you only see end product at end of job(feeling lucky punk??)
fibre glass..pros-see end product before it goes in..cheaper.cons....2ys? warantee, but if pool cracks -and makers disapear-problems....pools are transported on its edge,on back of tailer-so that could be 3mtr + trailer height-now if you try taking that down a road with low power cables(like my street)cost $250 per cable to be teporarily moved by electrick board-could end up more costly than the concete type.
landscaping...diy

cheers

We also had a quote off Lazaway pools, typical salesman crap whilst at the property..."oh yes, all in cost $15,000" but when he turned up at our rental house it was "$15,00 for this $2000 for that" so we told him to piss off..
Im taking it you live in Melbourne? we used the ones on Ferntree Gully Road but are not going to use em to build our future pool (fingers crossed)
Have a good time splashing around in it, its gonna be a hot one tomoz
