Default Overseas Qualifications Units

If you are going to be residing permanently in Australia the Overseas Qualifications Units offer assistance in getting your qualifications recognised in Australia and can help you through the licensing and registration process. Some trades may need multiple licenses depending on which state you are in and the Overseas Qualifications Units are a really good starting point.

Here is a link with details of the various units throughout Australia

South Australia also offer job search assistance and a range of other support services - here is the link http://www.migration.sa.gov.au/centr...gen_skill3.jsp

If you are ever given conflicting advice in respect of licenses - the best thing to do is contact the licensing authority for your profession directly and they should be able to provide you with the correct information.
