Do any of you subscribe to the outbound news paper ?
It has loads of advice and topics it covers every month.
Well we told them our story and they have published it , so we are on the front page and further along in the paper is our story, our 10 mins of fame, terrible photo , but never mind!!!!!
All we need now is the visa to finish the story.

Quite a useful paper isnt it really , we have found loads out from it and also have alot of really good friends that we have made from the penpal section , mind you we have loads from this site and from flyingcompass to , havent a social life anymore this computer has taken over our lives , be good to meet some of you before we do eventually go ?

Know what you mean about the computer taking over from your social life...ours was on the decline from the birth of our son, but since deciding to emigrate we tend to spend more time on here than actually seeing 'real' people.....but they don't understand us!!

newspaper is great I agree lots to read and the articles like yours give real hope that there is life at the end of the emmigration tunnel.

The virtual coomunity does definately understand us better than our families - neither can understand why we ant to go!!1

They think we are mad and I am sure thet think we are just doing for the attention.

Still at least i know i am not the only atteniton seaking mad english women now i found this web site.

Yes the paper covers australia in general.
Each month it covers different topics , in each state .
This month there is articles on hobart , perth ( our story ) , queensland , brisbaine , removals , house prices. Good little paper we think.

Got my copy of Australian News this morning, nice to put faces to names (the photo's not that bad!, we've got much worse in our album). Got our bit in the Penpals section this month, please write anyone out there. Like Joanne and Paul we went with Concept Australia too, applied May 01, still waiting to hear, hope those visa's aren't too far away.
