Hi head not as shedy this morning, though up at 5am!!
had a few pm's asking about our trip so thought I'd write it hear for those interested.
Well we spent 10 days in Penang, loved it though its very manic. sooo much traffic coming from all directions and us in the middle of it on a trisaw :scared: The food there was fab mix of Indian, Thai, Chinese and Malay yummy
then onto Brisbane were Rossi kindly picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel. Was a bit spaced out that day cos we'd flown all night but nice city from what we saw.
picked hire car up next day, on the advice from an old bloke we met in the pub we went off cross country and over the Bunya mountains (beautiful) then stopped a night in Nanango (mmm shall pass comment on the hotel there). Then through to Kilcoy lovely little town and to lake somerset which was stunning.
carried on through the hinterlands just amazed at the scenery never imagined it to look like this! glass house mountains, Maleny, Montville gorgeous.
then over to the coast spent night in a 1 bed fully self contained unit on Coolum beach really cheap cos out of season and it was fab, had a washer and dryer so took the opportunity to use em!
next day travelled up the coast Noosa wow what can I say, very expensive looking houses and boats but a bit L.A looking?? lots of beautiful people.
then onto Rainbow beach this is the furthest we got coast wise, stunning beach overlooking Fraser island lot of people camping there what looked long term, one had a cockatiel in a cage outside his tent! this is when I really wish we had a 4x4/camper van.
back inland through Gympie called at Mothar Mountain rock pool to try and spot a platy but didnt succeed
carried down the Mary Valley, again beautiful stopped at Kenilworth.
up at dawn saw a field full of sulphur crested cockatoo
back across country breakfast in a little town called Wombye which we just fell in love with.
onto the coast to Maroochydore onto Bribie island, down to Redcliffe spent night in motel at Margate beach. fantastic fish and chips on the beach the most amazing looking house up for sale by auction very surreal all glass front with lights changing colour etc would love to have looked round it.
then over to the Rossi's where we spent our last two nights
yip yip
so there you have it, for those of you still awake our whistle stop tour of Brissie, tiring, a lot of miles travelled but we've had a bloody fantastic time.

Blimey Kay, that's a lot of miles! Sounds like you packed a lot in and saw a lot of the countryside.
When do you hope to head off for good?
