But am sure not as chaotic as in a city with 14 million people
But the way the whole city rallied to help those affected was simply amazing and so very heartening. Complete strangers providing food and shelter to all those that needed it. I've never been so proud of that city than I was on that day

The sheer enormity of the destruction that an Australian storm can cause never ceases to amaze me.

I have just returned from Helping Malvern SES unit, they still have a backlog of over 200 calls. I have never seen so many damaged buildings in my life, mainly plastic skylights being blown to bits.
There were units from NSW, Whittlesea, Hastings, Sorrento and Narre Warren and we didn't make a dent in the amount of jobs. Knox still have 1500 outstanding.
