So it continues, not overly impressed with the workmanship so far but I'll have to see how it goes.

I know it's hard to get enthusiastic m8...especially with what you've gone through...but this is good news Fraser. At last things are starting to come together. Hopefully it wont be long before you've got your licence, got your job...and you're sat in the back yard supping a well earned beer

Good luck m8

Yeah thanks mate I appreciate it.

We are getting excited watching it go up.

I just hope the neighbours are still talking to us by the time we move in

Good luck with it all, it is looking good so far.
We are moving into a new rental in a couple of weeks and the new landlord is a builder (just won an award for his house building) so we may even have the builders of our house sorted when we are ready start our own .
Got to get the packing boxes out now.

Good luck with the move, our builders have a whole cabinet full of awards such as builder of the year.

Make of that what you will

We haven't got the choices of builders here so it will be good to know a local one if he turns out to be OK. I think that it is very difficult to know whether you have made the right choice until you are in the thick of it and you have really had a crappy time of it. Hopefully it will sort itself out for you and you will be able to enjoy your lovely new home.
Good luck with it.

Best of luck,

we move into our new home next week

we must have taken hundreds of photos, every slight change has been captured and e-mailed back to the UK.

Just the carpets to go down and we are in!!!!

probably taken about six months from slab to now, although we did have the christmas holidays when no work was done. also managed to score a free air- con system due to the suppliers mistake. yahoo!!

can't wait to get out of our rental and in our own home where we can hang some pictures and let the dog in (officially )

all the best to anyone who is building, it is a bit of a roller coaster but worth it in the end (hopefully)
