Hi Wayne and Hazel,

Glad to see that you're settling in ok. I hope there weren't too many tearful reunions and farewells in SA while you were there!

I'm sure Wayne won't be out of work for long. It sounds like you're getting everything else sorted out well. It won't be long before we're there!

Steve and Eve.

Guys,

I have a dog and two cats. Your message put me to rest.
I have one question, I heard that it's difficult to find a rental home in brisbane if you have pets. Is it true?

Can you shed some light into that???
Thanks in advance

Hi Wayne & Hazel,
So pleased that you and the doggies arrived safely and have settled in well.
We leave on Wednesday, arrive Bris on 28th.
PSS came and took everything away on Friday. How long did it take for yours to arrive?
Perhaps we can have a Thurrock reunion in Brisbane sometime!!
We are heading up to Coolum for the first couple of weeks in Holiday accomodation whilst we look around for a long term rental.
Not looking forward to all the goodbyes over the next couple of days.
All the best,
Martin & Faiza

Hi Steve & Eve,

South Africa was great, very sad saying goodbye again, but hopefully the family might decide to visit us here, they always complained that they didn't want to visit the UK, cause they didn't have warm enough clothes!

Jo'burg has really expanded, the casino's that have sprung up are something else! Caesar's Palace near the airport and Monte Casino in Randburg. They are phenomenal! we really had a good time. The roads, well thats another story, there is no law and order when it comes to driving!

Hope everything goes well for you,
Speak soon,
Hazel & Wayne

Hi,

Most places we looked at said a small outside dog was okay. There are quite a number that say No Pets, it's just a case of speaking to the agents. As for the cats, I'm not sure. Here in Pine Rivers shire you can't have more than two cats and they must have an enclosure, to protect the natural wildlife.

Our biggest issue was after collecting the dog, we needed to drive back to Brisbane, but we wanted to stay over a few nights on the way back. We luckily found caravan parks that allowed us to have her in the ensuite cabins.

Hi Martin & Faiza,

Best of luck with the flights etc, with having the little ones it makes the flying more stressful!

PSS shipped our goods on Feb 22nd, they arrived in Brisbane on Mar 27th, so about 5 weeks. They have however yet to be cleared, so we still haven't taken delivery!

Hope we can get together soon. I'll send you a PM with our number.

Hazel & Wayne

Most standard agency agreements state "no pets".

But, most landlords will accept them if they are asked, depending on the pet of course. !!

It is important to ask though, as you will be breaking a tenancy agreement if you dont get permission.
