Our fantastic weekend (Part 2 - Sunday)
Today we headed North of Redcliffe to the Sunny Coast Hinterland. We visited places such as Maleney, Montville and Landsborough. This is one of the few places so far South that you can still walk through Sub Tropical rainforest. Our first time and what a fantastic experience!
The towns up here are awesome. Maleney is an old Logging town - doesn't seem to have changed much!
Montville was even better - with a Swiss Alpine feel to it (yes, really!). Some fab shops and oh so picturesque!
We ventured into a couple of national parks whilst up here - Mapleton Falls NP and Kondalilla NP.......both sub trop rainforests!
Saw some wicked flora and fauna and topped the day off with a big fat Goanna coming out of the undergrowth to say hello!!! Smiling from ear to ear at the moment and soooooo glad to be here - we are so at home!
Not gonna post the images here as there are so many and it would take for ever - they are all on our picassa web album, link here...... Take a look, they're worth it!

Stay away from the 'English Pub' between Maleny and Montville though....'The Olde Penifarthen' it's called...
