got a viewer for the house tomorrow morning ( very early i might add) spilt half a bottle of red wine over the carpet, will have to get the hairdryer out to dry it off (or use the cat as he looks to comfortable at the moment)

Use loads of towels on it, if so, to soak up as much water as possible!

pollster the stain is out (i think but we have a pink carpet, i know but we inherited it from the previous owners along with the pink velour curtains wonder why we arnt selling the house) but the carpet is sopping now have tried paper towels but still lokks a diffferent colour

Cover with a rug ?
Stand on it when showing them around ?
Move the furniture around to cover the mark ?
Course if its in the doorway it would look a bit silly !!

Pour white wine over the stain!!! Trust me it will come out done it many times spill too much after 1st 3 bottles of red!!

Towels, Arlene - proper towels - best egyptian cotton!!!
and just lay them over, tread on them to press them into the wet, when damp, move to a dry bit and KEEP doing it!

havnt got any white wine handy have just scrubbed it again with bleach (wrong move)
cost me 6 quid thought i would treat myself for a change instead of something that cleans my teeth as it goes down
