They consist of pics of houses/gardens in cairns (taken from realestate.com.au, I'm not a burglar!), pics from our validation trip to my cousins outside Melbourne and our stop over in Singapore on the way home (Feb 04). Just thought people might like to have a look, see what it's like etc.

I enjoyed the Melbourne ones, have been to most of those places. Where is the lake in the early ones with the houses near?

By copying and pasting the link from another thread, it actually cuts a bit out from the middle, if it is a long link.
The way to get it, is to select and choose "copy shortcut"

Thanks claire ! We stayed at The Carlton which is kinda behind Raffles. Very nice compared to my usual hotel experience i.e. Village hotels or travel lodge!
We got a free upgrade to Carlton Club rooms so were on the 2nd to top floor = better views.

My cous lives in Sunbury, north of mellie - the lake is in the local "Reserve", round the corner from her house. The houses being built on the opposite shore looked nice! Big front gardens!

Sunbury is about 30-40 mins from the city, past the airport. I thought it was OK - older, 60-70's suburban streets. The pics were taken in Feb 2004 - my cous bought her house for A$ 220K in 2003 (but it's not particularly nice! )

Someone I was "speaking" to on a bike forum from the Eastern suburbs likened it to Skelmersdale (70's New Town nr Liverpool) compared to where he lived which he likened to the Wirral where I live (i.e. much nicer).
I thought that was a bit harsh and that Sunbury was OK but we didn't live there. Depends how much cash you've got at the end of the day doesn't it?
I'd like to live in the Dandenongs Forest area or down the Mornington Peninsular me!
