One year visa for family
My mum has just been granted a 12 month visa with multiple entry too!
Very simple application and just $70. Wanted to let you all know that you may be able to get your family to do the same (granted some people would not want this) but I AM SO HAPPY.

I am so happy - 36 years old and my mummy is coming too! Sounds so pathetic but she has recently recovered from cancer so every day is so precious.

Tara I am so pleased for you.
With your mum recovered from cancer, this will be a life injection for her.
What will happen at the end of the year? Will she apply again?
Anyway, take each day as it comes, make each day count and relish in the fact that you are going to share some fantastic moments with your mum in Australia and hopefully she can get another visa.
Tell your mum that Sam said she is one incredible lady. I know that because my mum is also amazing and we are lucky to have her after a scare in March.
Love Sam

Congrats, that's great news
Can I ask what the conditions are of the visa? what you need to apply and who can apply etc?
Thanks

I believe you have to have a reason for wanting 12 months (rather than the standard six months which you get on an ordinary ETA) and you can't get them online - but otherwise they are quite common and straightforward.
