We went with these guys:

you could do a search on the forum. there are cheaper but you need to look at what is actually covered. we decided with go walkabout because, although not the cheapest, they provided the best cover. some other companies are quite a bit cheaper but at the end of the day they cover bugger all - not much point then really!!

Try the post office - they insure for one way and cover you for 17 days (if I remember correctly).

I bank with Nat West and my account covers all holiday insurance we never paid anything for this. If you bank with them check them out. We have saved hundreds of pounds over the years by not having to pay extra for holiday insurance over the years. They also covered us for our one-way trip to here.
Good Luck

Travel insurance is definitely not one of those things you decide on by price alone, though $120 seems expensive.

Re: One Way Travel Insurance Please
You need to ensure that your possessions are covered once you arrive in Asutralia until you can sort out some kind of contents insurance this end. Some policies will only cover you for holidays, for example, your permanent address must be in the UK. Others will cover you for the flight but end as soon as you get off the plane. If you think about something like you moving into a rented house and not getting contents insurance for the first few days, but during that time your house is broken into and your stuff pinched...... if your insurance ended once you got off the flight, you could regret it.
