You only need the first verse when standing up to get your certificate and tree.
I do know the second verse however.

When gallant Cook from Albion sail'd,
To trace wide oceans o'er,
True British courage bore him on,
Till he landed on our shore.
Then here he raised Old England's flag,
The standard of the brave;
With all her faults we love her still,
"Brittannia rules the wave!"
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

(The lost verse)
With Christ our head and cornerstone,
We'll build our Nation's might.
Whose way and truth and light alone
Can guide our path aright.
Our lives, a sacrifice of love, reflect our Master's care.
With faces turned to heaven above, Advance Australia fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing, Advance Australia fair.

Yes, quite like the tune of Australia Fair, & think it's shame that Hendrix didn't give it the special guitar treatment like he did with the US one.
That lost verse is a bit un-pc, though - the Jews, Hindus, Moslems, Atheists & Jedi(!) among us might have a problem with singing that... probably why it's 'lost'?
The best National Anthem of the lot, IMO, has to be the French one, though (especially the setting by Berlioz with Jose Careras singing the words - one of my fave CDs! That's enough Radio 3 stuff for now.)

The French just ripped off the Brisbane Lions footy song for their national anthem! lol
As for the other verses of Advance Australia Fair, very few Aussies actually know they exist. The song was written in the 1870's (around then) when loyalty to the mother country was very strong but since it became the national anthem in the last few decades they've only ever used two of the verses.

Our boys, in year 1, learnt this in the first month at school, taught to them in class & they sing it at assembly each week. One of them spent all of his waking hours every day for weeks singing the damn thing over & over again until I tried to cut his vocal chords out with a rusty razorblade . He still spontaneously bursts into song about half a dozen times a day .
Jayr, I do like that song very much, but for gut wrentching soppiness I have to agree with owieb & Di, Peter Allen takes the cake everytime!
I've been to cities that never close down,
from New York to Rio and old London town,
But no matter how far or how wide I roam,
I still call Australia home.
I'm always trav'lin, I love being free,
and so I keep leaving the sun and the sea,
But my heart lies waiting over the foam,
I still call Australia home.
All the sons and daughters, spinning 'round the world,
away from their family and friends,
But as the world gets older and colder,
it's good to know where your journey ends.
But some day we'll all be together once more,
when all of the ships came back to the shore,
I realise something I've always known,
I still call Australia home.
But no matter how far or how wide I roam,
I realize something I've always known,
I still call Australia, I still call Australia,
I still call Australia Home.

There is nothing more moving than being an Aussie and flying back home on Qantas when you have been gone for ages, and they played that song as we flew into Oz. It brought tears to my eyes.....
(Mind you I dont often fly qantas - the steward put bread on my plate with his blinking fingers!)
