Does anyone on here work offshore in the construction side of things and was wondering what the deal was working there as in hourly rate,if paid when on leave,if two weeks on and off and where do you guys fly from in perth,been looking around areas to maybe move to when i come back,as i work in the oil and gas industry and on site and offshore i am trying to find an ideal location,and also maybe not far for other jobs that may come up that would need to drive too,if offshore then its not an issue really.

I was looking at mandurah or rockingham secret harbour etc is secret harbour in the middle of these places and approx what distance from each one,who knows maybe head just out perth city,but been driving around having a look and getting an idea,why do people go to an area and for what reasons,work,less crime,nice area etc.
