Hi everyone,
August meet did go ahead albeit 5 of us. We decided on the following book:-
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
(Kate Bush wannabe's welcome but sorry - no disco/karaoke will be available this time!)
Next meet will be at my house on Thurs 16 October - 7:30
PM me if you need to be reminded of my address!

Hi all
Can't make any weekday evenings for the forseeable but still want to be in the bookclub. Are you still discussing the book afterwards on the barbie?

Re: October Book Club - Wuthering Heights
Just thought I'd give this a bump, and to get you all in the mood...... !!
Out on the wiley, windy moors
We'd roll and fall in green.
You had a temper like my jealousy:
Too hot, too greedy.
How could you leave me,
When I needed to possess you?
I hated you. I loved you, too.
Bad dreams in the night.
They told me I was going to lose the fight,
Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering
Wuthering Heights.
Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window

Re: October Book Club - Wuthering Heights
I finished the book on Friday night........ but I'm confused!
I'm sure I didn't skip any bits, but where's the part when she's dancing around outside singing Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy. Come home. I'm so cold! Let me in-a-your window .
No-one has replied (at least not on this forum) to Sal1705 - is anyone reading this book? Are we on for the 16th?

I don't think I will be able to make it to this book meet, I haven't even read a page yet and I am back to work tomorrow, so not much chance of getting a whole book read by Thurs pm!!! Maybe next time we could choose a book with approx 10 pages and I [I]might[I] get it finished on time!!

Thought you were going to say you were too busy!
So, who is coming on Thursday? Has anyone apart from me and 22B read the book?
