We're at Coffs Harbour for one night, we've got to be in Sydney by Wednesday. Anyone got any info or ideas on where is best to stop on the way down?

Any must see areas?

Port MacQuarie is apparently lovely - not been myself but its about half way I think and a few friends of ours have been and said its lovely.

Hunter Valley is also nice to stop at, and the central coast (Terrigal etc)

it was really good, our first proper family holiday.. so different to when it used to be just the two of us with time and money to burn
holiday camp was ok, a little tired but acceptable
went on the first officuial whale watch tour of the season and saw a few humpbacks and countless dolphins, they were so close that even the boy enjoyed the show
took him to some farm place to feed the roos and pat the koalas etc. he was more interested in the ducks!
crawled around on Stockton dunes and tried eating sand
a fun time was had by all, thanks for all the reccos everyone

Glad you enjoyed it. I dont think I'll ever tire of heading up that way - stunning.

Well done on getting on the whale watch - OH was gutted when we went up last time because we were just that little bit too early. Maybe we'll head up next weekend to try to catch them
