yeah you should have seen my face :ohmy: when they tried to collar me for paying sj's tab,but she payed me back strait away, wouldnt have minded waiting,i'll just remeber to leave before her next time she can pay mine.:rofl:

Had a really good afternoon guys, nice to meet you all and what fab bunch of people, what will be left in this country when all us nice people have left:lol:

Count us in on any future meets we will try and think of somewhere to suggest in Chesvegas or Mansfield way.

Thought the venue was great and made up for the s@$t typical bank holiday weather.

Thanks for the good luck wishes with the co,it was really nice to meet you all,cant wait for the next meet,it'll be nice to recognise a few faces next time,not so sure about remembering names though,only joking not too bad.:D

at the next meet might even be at differant stages with the visa process.:)

Hi all,

Good to meet you all (although most very briefly) on Monday. As an update to our situation I recieved my job contract and signed it on Tuesday. The visa agency got in touch with me yesterday amd i forwarded pretty much all paperwork last night. This morning I'd recieved the completed application forms for the visa, which need a couple of changes (incorrectly spelt address).

Anyway, i'll get the corrected ones back tomorrow and will sign and return these over the weekend, and the agency reckon the process will be completed and 457 visa approved within 3 weeks, maybe even 2 weeks.

So that's it really, we'll be moving to Melbourne probably end September or early October 2007.

Hi all,

I've got the visa and now plan to fly out (by myself) around the 22nd August rather than October.

Wife and son will stay in UK till October so I can concentrate on the job, and also provide a get-out clause. Also need to sell the house.
