Nosey question...???
 

Hi

I'm being a tad nosey...I would like to know the range of ages of people trying to start a 'new life' in Oz. I'm 28 my Aussie hubby is 32 (no kiddies just yet!) we moving out to Melb. at the end of the year. Anyone else?

From the North West meet I can tell you that we are a really mixed bag, from young singles to old marrieds like me (45 and 47!) Also a wide range of ages of children from babes in arms (Rich and Ange) to my son of 18 and Mary's daughter of 19.

I'm 28 also - going out to Oz on my own, but have four year old cat to keep me company once she gets out of prison, sorry quarantine!
Where you headed to? I'm off to Canberra, have been offered a job out there.

We'll be going to Melbourne....my other half is from Geelong, which is a bit quiet on the employment front for us. I love Victoria. Have you been to Oz before?

Nope I am one of those crazy people who have never been to Oz.

But hey I'd never been to Birmingham before moving here. I'm lucky as I only have myself to consider, it would be very different if I had kids to move out!

Lots of people on here moving to Melbourne, so you will have plenty of company! :)

We are heading out to the Gippsland area of Victoria later in the year. I am 30 and my husband is 32, two kiddies (5 & 8).

Hi all, we're heading out to 30 min drive from Brisbane as soon as we get the big YES. I am 24 but will be 25 when we leave, my hubby is 33 and we have a 3 year old daughter. My bro in law went to Gold Coast last year, he's 36 and his wife is 26 next week, sis in law also migrated over, she is 29, her hubby is 36ish, kids are 13 and 11.

Me (35), hubby (37) and three daughters (3,5 and 6) will hopefully be moving just North of Sydney about May 2005. Brother in law (33) and his wife (30) moved out to Sydney in August. Sister in law (29) and her boyfriend (29) GOT THEIR VISAS TODAY! They hope to head out to Sydney in July. (We submitted our application one week after theirs so on that basis we are hoping to hear real soon!) Last brother in law (31) is also applying but is undecided about when or even whether to follow the rest of the sheep - errm I mean family! Oh and did I forget to mention that the in laws (59 and 61) have applied for a retirement visa too?! So between our family alone the age range is 3 - 61.

I'm 39 (yikes......40 this year :scared: ) and my hubs is 36. We have 2 children aged 6 and 4 and we are planning to go to Brisbane/Sunshine Coast this July/Aug. My sis just got back from a 5 week holiday in Oz today - we're waiting to find out whether the trip has convinced them to emigrate too, which would be nice. Whilst there she posted us a parcel full of newspapers/magazines/house details from the sunshine coast - can't wait for them to get here so we can drool futher!!!!

As Sue from Manchester has already mentioned us up top thought I had better fill the gaps.
I am 38 next month and Rich the hubbie is 36 in June (another toyboy) keeps you young though dont you think!

I dont feel SO old now, well now realising that there are a few in the same age range!

I am 41 and my wife (scissors) is 39....40 in a few weeks (she will love me for saying that). We have one daughter Kerry who is 16.

Everyone has toy boys! Me too... I'm 26, and Aussie boyfriend is 24. We're headed out to Brisbane (which is where he's from - he came to the UK in March 03) in the Summer.
