Do a search, there have been a couple of threads about North Ryde and surrounding areas recently.

I wouldn't think that cycling would be an option around there personally as the roads are so busy, but someone else might know otherwise!

Hi Lisa,

It really depends on where your home is. I cycle to North Ryde most days from Pennant Hills and have found a lovely route through the Lane Cove national park with minimal time on the roads. There are also a number of cycle paths around North Ryde and I've seen a cycle path which seems to go in the Chatswood direction.

Hope this helps

can cycle - friend OH has cycled down from Turramurra through part of Lane Cove park. My OH (when his bike is fixed) cyles Ryde rd (has to watch out for traffic entering Yanko Rd as few drivers give way as they should)

There is a shared cycle/pedestrian path on Ryde rd - a lot of the time much quicker than car or bus and you want to stick to the path as the road is bad enough being in a car.
