No response
We finally sent our immigration application in mid-August, however no response yet from them as yet. They havent even charged the application fee so we dont even know if they received it. Is this 'normal'? Anyone here have sent or someone who has sent in application around the same time?

Re: No response
Hi - ours arrived 15th Aug and it's the same for us. ASPC have a backlog at the moment and are currently receipting applications dated 8th August. Don't worry - you'll get acknowledgement (eventually).

Re: No response
you can also join the other August applicants on below thread

One of the BE posters (Clippies) has a spreadsheet going for July/Aug applicants. If you PM her your details she can add you in. What visa have you applied for?

Re: No response
Thanks for this will post there.
I sent it through Royal Mail on the 6th of August and assume they'd have received it 6 days later (latest). Ours is a Skilled Independant (136) visa.
Was wondering the document checklist, sez not to undertake medicals or apply for police checks unless requested to do so. However, i find a few people who seem to have done this, what should we do?

A choice that only you can make. If you were at this moment to front load then you would have to validate your visa (when you get it) by October 2007 (whichever date is earliest on your pcc/meds - you get 12 mths, in some cases 6 mths to validate -think that's right). Now, if you don't get the visa till say Aug next year then that only gives you a couple of months to get everything sorted (house sale, shippers, flights......). Some people wait until 4/5 mths after their application has gone in and then front load. It can be round about this time you get allocated a case officer. If you do a search on here you'll find loads of info on medicals and front loading. Loads of people on here who can offer help or answer questions for you (and no question is a silly question). Have a good rummage round the site - loads of info here.
