My last ever UK mortgage payment was 2 weeks ago....& my ex-wife has kindly relieved me of most of the collateral ...

however....it is a great feeling of freedom, especially with the house price slump....

But I may just have enough to buy a house outright, so i intend to stay mortgage free for at least a couple of years until we're financially settled enough to buy our dream house.

now that does feel good doesnt it but its a really odd feeling when you have no home,no job and are in between countries we had to fill out of form on the plane on the way over here,and on it it said country of residence wasnt really sure what we should put,well we put australai,but was that really right....who nows,best of luck fraser,not long now
