God the worlds your oyster.... Exactly the same reason why Gay couples have so much spending power.

My situation, Wife working full time, in the Medical profession earns about 10pct more than me, which is the way it should be. Actually she should earn double my income, but society being the way it is, doesn't reward Nurses adequately.

Presently Steve, our kids 9 and 13, cost a lot more than any other expenditure.

Only problem is I have very few pastimes/hobbies to spend it on!
We keep buying rental properties and shares so we dont have it sitting in the bank doing nothing. Ah well i'm sure it will benefit us when we reach retirement age. Perhaps we should have a kid (sits down very quickly uttering 'maybe next year').

Maybe - as long as she can be there for him after school, if he's sick etc. If she cannot get a job that allows this then no.

Its not as if I'm asking too much.

My neighbours the same, she doesnt work kids are maybe 10 & 14 and she has a cleaner in. I dont get it, what does she do all day, when Im working from home she seems to head out at about 7:30 to drop the sprogs off and is back around 8:15. Dont seem to here or see her all day and then around 3:30 ish she's off to collect.
Surely there's only so much house work a woman can do isnt there???

Don't beat yourself up, your baby is still tiny and things don't get back to normal for ages. My kids are older, I don't work and I have time for the housework and a social existance. It's work I don't have time for

Our option isn't there. The one I chose was 25/75 split for income, but it's more 60/40 for us. Actually, it's exactly 60/40.

As for the cleaner, I married mine. I happen to have a husband who likes a clean house and doesn't mind doing the work.

We have kids and are on one income - but I am studying full time!!

Chose the last option though as it is relating to income.

I am the one answer for single income with kids! But actually for the last 8 years I worked both part time (2 jobs for 5 of these 8 years) and full time therefore had at one time had three incomes! BUT you didn't put a box for that?

When (not if) I get the WA I hope just to have one job and more time with my daughter!
