To the OP - Cadbury's creme eggs are readily available here - and there's no noticable difference between the ones you buy in the UK and the ones you buy here. http://www.cadbury.com.au/sites/cadb....php?pageId=97 |

Re: no cadburys for the aussies..
When we visited Auz (Easter 2005) we tried a selection of different chocs, and cadbury's do unfortunately taste different
Toblerone on the other hand, tasted exactly the same - you just have to eat it quick before it melts!! :) moo-cow! x |
Re: no cadburys for the aussies..
However, Lindt, Guylain and Ferrero Rocher are all imported here so we pig out on them instead.

Caramello Koalas are my favourite! And violet crumbles, & I'm partial to a bag or 10 of Twisties (not chocolate I know!) Ahhh, this time in a few months I will be able to sit in a bath of CK's or Twisties if I want... can't wait !!! |
Re: no cadburys for the aussies..
Does anyone know why Cadbury's Choc taste different over here?
by the way you cant get Cadbury's buttons here!! |
Re: no cadburys for the aussies..
I like the way you can buy a large range of chocolate eggs in Oz - as in just the eggs and not all the crap that goes with them like the cardboard boxes and plastic inserts filled with other bits and pieces. It's too hard to hide all this stuff in the garden, especially in the hanging baskets!! The egg hunt is the best bit about Easter Sunday morning - the Disney character boxes just don't quite do it when you are wanting to create little nests in the pots!!
I know that you can get the Lindt eggs and Blacks organic range in the UK, but I like the brightly coloured foil wrapped range that you get so readily in Coles and Woolies. Mint and Caramel-filled mini eggs and Crunchie pieces in the larger eggs - yummo. |
