Think what you like, your posts hardly have me phased. And while they asked about nightclubs and the general nightlife scene for their daughter, I felt what I posted needed to be posted. It's exactly the same advice I'd give my own daughters. People who travel to different countries/cities need to know what the local situation is really like, not just what the 'tourist board' wants them to know.

Yes you're wonderful and helpful and none of us would be able to see the wood for the trees without you.

Speaking personally, were I the OP, I would have felt unnecessarily patronised about how I should "manage" my daughter and that I was also being taught to suck eggs in relation to her going out clubbing.

You may have believed some mythical "Australian publicity" that the country is Utopia and nothing bad happens, but the majority - and I mean majority are intelligent enough to realise that shit happens everywhere regardless of how shiny the bucket is.

actualy thought the age for night clubs everywhere was over 21. Obviously wrong, just a bit suprised at Australia being so young
