Question Newbie - going cuckoo needs advice RE: STNI SA

Dear All,

Husband's application (General Skilled) lodged with Adelaide on 17.06.02

Accepted for STNI scheme 04/07/02.

Sent Police records mid July.

SA Gov confirmed and signed off on STNI app with DIMIA 20/08.

DIMIA requested a reference from current employer 20/08

Sent Mediclas/X-Rays and reference via DHL - received Adeliade 20.09.02.

What is the likely waiting time - going mad - wishing our lives away

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Shelly

Hello Shelly.

In another of your postings I think you said that you are using an agent ... can't they answer your question ..?

Best regards.

Thank you for replying to me. My first.

Yes we are using an agent but he is very hard to pin down on any type of timescales, he says it shouldn't be long, but I was just hoping that anyone else in the same position or with knowledge might know if were talking weeks, months or god forbid years!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Shelly

Great,

as said b4 dimia + SA Gov signed off on STNI on 20.08 and medicals etc received in Adelaide on 20.09

How do you find Adelaide? Any disappointment? Or just happy, happy, joy, joy.

Regards,

Shelly

Hi Shelley - Sorry to have ignored your earlier posts. Welcome to the site.

I applied Skilled Independant 13 months ago and still waiting. We're hoping to go to Adelaide.

Where are you heading?

Hiya,

We are going to Adelaide as long as everything goes through OK.

Have you been there before?

Make sure you carry on letting me know how you are doing.

Speak soon.

Shelly

Been 3 times over the last 5 years, got friends North of the city.
Really like it there. It has everything we are looking for lifestylewise - Hopefully work wise too.

Should hear around Christmas time. Sell up in the Spring, move Easter time. Hopefully!

Mash,

Sounds good, we have never been but have done extensive digging to find out all about Adelaide, it's lucky cause we had already decided on SA when our visa app went in and then luckily my husband was included on the STNI scheme for SA.

Wish, like most, that we knew when we are going (hopefully!!!)

Only thing really making me think that we will be rejected is that I am a carrier of a genetic abnormality. I don't suffer in any way, found out by complete accident during routine blood test. Agent & Panel doc. say it will not be a problem but it is a fairly big worry and as everyone here knows nothing anyone else says puts your mind totally at ease.

Husband says he will divorce me if I fail !!!!! (pressure), good job I know he's joking, well I hope he's joking.

Is the lifestyle that much better? I am itching to go. We are being realistic regards Blighty versus Oz, if we are still stuck here when you go please mail with lovely stories and keep our hopes alive.

Cheers.

Shelly
