For those of you new in town, this is a bit of a Brisbane British Expats tradition.

We've done it for several years now, some people stay all afternoon and evening, some only pop in for an hour,but I thought I'd start the thread now so that anyone who knows they will be here on New Year's Day can include it in their planning!
Some of us are working the night before so may need a few matchsticks for the eyes, but I'm sure I will cope.....
Pig and Whistle, thats the big one by the river, in Eagle Street, anytime from about midday on New Year's Day

He's not building a new house is he? One going up in my street (well, still technically my street, but not living there since I moved out and into an apartment in South Brisbane a couple of months ago).

Only from Auchenflower so an easy trip but never having been here before at that time of year wasn't sure there would be public transport and deffo don't want to drive!
