Default New Passport yes or no??

If we have no more problems at centrelink and the DIMIA are ok hopefully should get the nod on my visa soonish?

My passport has only got a couple of years left on it now, should I apply for a new one now and advise the DIMIA or hang fire for the time being???

I was in the same position and decided to renew it. Very easy, no certificates needed, just turned up at the passport office in Liverpool (had to make an appointment though) with existing passport, new photo (does NOT need certifying if you're still recognisable), some separate ID and that was it. Four hours later, had new passport.

Told DIMIA, no problem. Got visa not long after.

Hi,

We had the same dilemma and decided to update the passport. We sent an e-mail to our CO to let her know, we received the passport within a couple of weeks, then we had a couple of pages certified and sent to DIMIA.

Saves a bit of hassle in a couple of years

Cheers
