Hi guys, new member just logged on.
Just been granted our 457 visa, looking at moving to Secret Harbour South of Perth end of March. Any one out there with any info on this area, whats school like etc, travelling out this month to sort out house. Can anyone advise decent shipping company.

I'd recommend Anglo Pacific - we are just in the process of receiving our goods (I suppose I ought to wait to check everything's ok before giving my recommendation!!) - and they have been fantastic all the way through.
I got quotes about 18months before we actually moved, from about 10 or so companies (the theory being I'd truly understand what was involved in the move, get all the advice that I could, realise just how much stuff I had to get rid of, and get a feel for the different companies/costs).
Of all of them, we decided on getting two final quotes late last year when definitely going, Allied Pickfords and Anglo Pacific. Anglo Pacific seemed the most personable, professional and very willing to help and handhold me through the process.

Also new member. Not sure about Secret Harbour, but Aussiemove.com has a lot of information about Perth and WA. Have you tried that website.

Hi Dazl

Congratulation on getting your visa!
We are a family of five (kids aged 7, 5, 3) and have all been living in Secret Harbour since September. Two of my boys go to the primary school here. We used PSS to ship all our stuff and they were great for us - not one single thing broken. They were also the cheapest of our quotes.

If there is anything I can help you with, let us know. Are you looking for a rental in Secret Harbour and if so when are you coming out this month?

Sam

Hi DazL,

AP have a bit of a 'hit or miss' reputation on here, have a read of this ***** ******** before making any decisions. If you do a search on the forum, there have been lots of polls and posts about shipping. I only shipped boxes so can't comment on container loads.

Hiya!

I'm in Rockingham for now staying with my parents at first - it's close to Secret Harbour so just ask away and I'll answer any questions if I can? I used Sevenseas by the way and found them cheaper than other quotes & a really good service.

Good luck

Hi there, yep just another hello (what a friendly bunch we are!) We are hopefully gonna be in secret harbour area once house goes. We visited the area last may and it was LOVELY.I'll also be on the lookout for school info too for my 7+9 year olds.try the website www.education.gov.au then search for schools-it'll give you a load of other sites that should help....

Thanks for your reply, we visited last Feb and loved it to.
We have 4 kids (ages 9, 8, 5, 4) yeah I know, must be mad!!!
I'm going out on 11th Feb to sort out rental and enrolments for school.
Thanks for the website info I'll have a look before I go, I'll let you know how I get on.
I hope you don't have to wait to long for your house sale, we jumped the gun a bit and sold back in July so only in rented at the mo.
We are hoping to relocate at easter.

All the best, keep in touch

Darren
