Hi, ive recently moved to Brisbane. I have been here for two months with my boyfriend, I have a job, I have an apartment (which is awsome!) but am struggling to meet people and properly feel settled. Is anyone up for meeting for a coffee/beer?

Hey
have just arrived in brisbane myself with my boyfriend ( five months now )
we have both been working for about four months now but have yet to make any friends, apart from a few at work but no nights out or out of work meet ups.
Would love to meet up with anyone else and we can compare notes on our experiences so far and maybe share any tips we may have found along the way !!!!!!

Hey guys
Ive been here just under four months so, we all know how everyones feelin!! It would be lovely to meet up for coffee/beer. If any one knows a central place to meet up one night, im free most of the time. South bank would be a good place as any. How do you feel about meeting?

Hi
I am in a similar position. I came over to Brisbane to join my boyfriend ,who was sponsored. (also from UK) I worked as a learning disability nurse in the uk, but this is'nt recognised in Queensland. I am going through the defacto visa process at the moment so dont get work rights till November so have'nt had the opportunity to meet many people. We live in Bulimba and would be more than happy to come over to south bank for drinks. I was so pleased to find this website, some of it's hilarious!!. I have missed the british sense of humour. I've found I am not the only one finding it a bit difficult getting settled. If anyone would like to meet up for a chat, drinks feel free to get in touch and we can organise something

Im in a very similar position, i too came over to join my man (also from the UK) Im a primary school teacher and have failed miserably to get a job in a school, as my paper work is also not loved here!!!!!
It would be great to meet up.....the ozzie sense of humor certainly is different!!!
Im not sure what the deal is here about giving out numbers... extra.....any ideas how to arrange to meet for a drink!! One night next week would be nice. Also the invite from the another member looks good too. Have a good weekend
