hey guys ..

thinking about moving to OZ in the next few months , as a network engineer , i thought it would be usefull if we can share experiences about jobs and employment and whatever concerns us...

What kind of network - 330kV, 220kV or maybe something higher?

What would you like to know?

Basiclly things are pretty much the same as in the UK job wise, all your trade certifications like microsoft, cisco will still be valid in aus and are what employers look for, unfortunately they dont count as qualifications for visa purposes.
Which really makes no sense

seems like there are many kinds of networks around .. ...
im talking mainly about the Telecommunications networks , related to mobile networks and data networks ... where different technologies like IP, MPLS , Ethernet , ... etc would be utilized ... so it would be considered as Information Technology ...
and no it is not Rail Networks , and for anybody who might think it is not "Network of Friends " ...

Myslef , i am a Network Engineer for 5 years now , working mainly with Cisco and Juniper products .. i have got many certificates in this career (CCNA, CCIP,JNCIA-M/T,JNCIS-M/T,JNCIP-M/T) and some other certificates that are not that common ...

haha, rail network engineers... I work in the same building as cisco in sydney...they steal my allocated parking space the whole time
