Hi all,

Just wanted some advice. Do net cafes usually have cf card readers etc to enable you to email piccys from a digital camera back home? We'll be travelling around NSW & QLD mostly.

As far as I know, they usually don't have readers. But I think if you ask them nicely
and you bring your own small size reader, they should allow you to connect to one of
the machines for downloading.

The other day I was in Perth, a tourist came into the internet cafe with only
his digital camera and the owner said OK for her to install her camera's drivers
on one of the computers. So she goes back to the same computer to download
pictures everyday.

Digital cameras are becoming more standard... Last year I used one of those JVC DV
camcorders, and I whish I had brought my firewire with me. Now I was only able to use
USB for transfering images and video...

I've been to all kinds of small townships. As soon as I discovered the local
internetcafe I sent home my pics... no problems at all.
