Hi Carrianne
My wife and I were in a similar boat so she decided to have the x-rays done before the DIMA instructed us just incase she fell pregnant. It worked for us except she never got pregnant and now the visas have arrived !! So going without baby and maternity pay.
Just a thought ....

Hiya,

Sorry off doing things, Yes Mel I am in Bonnie Scotland, and I am hoping to go to the sunshine coast when the visa are fianlly granted.

Hi Bored bean I want to move to Caloundra which will be communting distance to Brisbane

Hi, Snitzy I would front load but we don't want to go that soon, we are not in a rush. So prefer to delay or just keep teh same as I have taken medical advice and you can have a lead plate put over the baby while you have an x ray.

So we can try adn there is plenty fun in that.

Love Carrianne x

Carianne

We were in a similar position to this, because Siobhan was pregnant when we applied.

As regards getting x-rayed, you may find that this never becomes an issue. We found that things moved very slowly until the baby was born. No case officer, no medicals etc. Then again, we did put it on our application. It all kicked off quite quickly afterwards.

I guess it would depend on whether you informed them that you were pregnant, which you are supposed to do anyway, but if it was very early on it probably wouldn't matter.

Or could they x ray me while pregnant (well i know they can) but the risks ?

Whether people agree or not babies to us are very and just wanted anyone who is now delaying through wanting children.

Anyone got the link for the list of doctors in your area for medicals I couldn't see it on the page.

Thanks in advance

Hi! I am the girlfriend of cricketnutter(don't ask) and we have decided to wait until we go to oz to have kids for several reasons

1. we cannot get on the property ladder in england, (just one of the reasons for leaving for oz) and both decided we wouldn't have kids until we had a place of our own.

2. our parents wouldn't get attached to their grandchildren and to be honest i might have felt too guilty to go because of that.

3. we want our kids to be born in oz so they will know no different

4. makes life a little easier moving, making friends, getting jobs, settling down etc

this is not to say we don't want them now as we are both 30 and feel ready but we have debated this many times and for the above reasons have decided to wait.

I hope this helps but of course this is only our opinion.
